MINUSTAH Log Base

Sun is rising...heading to work at 6:45 am

Mountains surround Port-au-Prince

My office - a container big enough to fit four desks! The artwork was done
by a Haitian artist WFP hired as part of its Cash for Work program.

Inside the container we mostly freeze because the A/C is blasting.
I've won the battle for sunshine though.

More artwork on containers.

Just a plane that is behind our offices...kind of the break area.

Welcome to Port-au-Prince!

MAC 1: MINUSTAH Base Camp
Port-au-Prince, Haiti

My new home, made of tin and concrete.

This area wasn't hit as hard as other areas of Port-au-Prince.
It's like a mini-suburb, except the grass is rubble.

And way better than I expected. Certainly a step way above what
most people have (see houses being built in background).
