Girls Just Wanna Have Fun

Some days work is just play....

Aziza Moraa Mercy Capelle..yes that is her name and she is my fabulous hair stylist...

Trouble: Susie, Lucy, Agnes and Aziza

You would never guess that within the last two years these girls were homeless, living on the streets, beggin for food, dealing with vulgar men...

Some of the girls who were reintegrated back in June...they look so rough here right? But they are just little girls...

Irene Achayo before Reintegration back home...

We organized a trip for the girls to visit the Nairobi Children's Traffic Park where they learned how to cross streets safely, ride bikes, read road signs, etc...in case you can't imagine Nairobi's road rules are umm...let me say non-existent

Very old but my only picture up close with such a large animal so i had to show it off..

Arielle trying to figure out some bracelet pattern she wanted to teach a girl at work...

Enjoyinh a beer after a long week at work...

This is so old, like from January...Ryan and I at his new house in Malava that has no running water...

Reintegration means nearly half the girls at the center now have a home to go to (extended family, sponsorship, etc)

although they are excited...

its actually kind of sad...i'll probably never see any of them again

Maggie and Aggie, truly best friends

Florence, Elizabeth, Muthoni and Sumayaia practice a poem to present at the Giraffe Center award ceremony where Florence and Sumayaia won first place in the art competitioin.
Sumayaia always wants her pictures taken...

Mrs. Phillipe Donnatt from the British High Commission came and brought lots of goodies, a very sweet sweet lady.

The girls perform a Welcome Song for visitors who bring donations; they also perform poems and dances when people come

Visitors from the St. Peters Church came by to drop off some donations, mostly buckets, maize, popcorn, snacks, etc.
